#29: Green Curriculum: Brown University & Second Nature

September 22nd, 2011

This week's episode of Sustainable Business Weekly, the podcast produced by 2degrees, is produced in two parts.

First, I spoke to Chris Powell, Director of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Initiatives for Brown University. (I should say I'm not without bias here, as Brown is my alma mater.)

I then spoke to Georges Dyer, Vice President of Programs for Second Nature, where he has focused on building and supporting networks like the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment (ACUPCC).

They both spoke to me about sustainability programs on college and university campuses, about the need to engage, and how to lead effectively.

In this week's episode, the Sustainable Business Indicator is: 48%. That's the percentage of Americans who are concerned about climate change.

For a list of some of America's top green campuses, check out this post on Grist.

To learn more, and to hear what Chris and Georges had to say, listen to the podcast.
